Do you know how many traffic lights I encounter on a daily basis? Zero. I can take Big pup to school, stop in at the post office, fill up at the gas station, take the huskies to the vet and grab a gallon of milk at the Dollar General store and never have to deal with traffic lights. On the days when I need more than just milk I head to Walmart--passing through only 2 lights.
Yesterday, I traveled to Little Rock to see my sister and OH MY WORD do you know how many traffic lights there are in Little Rock? One million. I'm not even kidding.

Wish you stayed longer. And I hope your readers come to my site, just to see the goofy pictures of you!
ReplyDeleteOh traffic lights are the PITS! I actually drive a little bit out of my way every morning to avoid them!
ReplyDeleteI love poetry friday!!
ReplyDeleteand you and your sister are adorable!! looks like a fun time!
I can't go anywhere without hitting a traffic light. Unless I only drive around in my subdivision, then I'm good.
ReplyDeleteI stopped by your sister's site. I LOVE Jason's Deli, but we don't have them in OH. We had one by our house in Kansas (we lived in the Kansas City area) and I ate there about once a week! We do have McAlister's, but it's just not the same.
Me and traffic lights do not get along! LOL! We have a ton just taking my oldest to school! I try to avoid going anywhere unless I have to...and then I make a day out of it and do all the things I need to do while out. HAHA! I hate driving through Little Rock though! I have to say the Arkansas Highways suck! It's been YEARS, almost a DECADE and there is ALWAYS construction on the highway! Crazy!
ReplyDeleteI hate traffic lights. There was something to be said about all the large round abouts in England!
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize that your sister has a blog. You kow on an average day I don't encounter stop lights either...because I don't even make it out of my neighborhood. ;)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I hate sitting in traffic lights!! =S
ReplyDeleteI can't stand traffic lights, went to LR last week and you are right they have a ton and they last FOREVER, did I say FOREVER. We have a ton here in Big D but they are pretty quick to change.
ReplyDeleteWow! That many? I am assuming it took awhile to get to your sister's home. but I am sure it was worth the trip.
ReplyDeleteI saw the pics at Angie's site, glad you guys had fun!
ReplyDeleteThis is why I am a country and small town girl. Love the poem by the way.
ReplyDeleteMy husband would love to live somewhere where there were no traffic lights...and so would everyone else on the road with him! lol. Yeah, they suck.
ReplyDeletei so don't like traffic lights either.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I tagged you. :) Fun Meme tag. :) Yay!
ReplyDeleteNo comment on the trafic lights around here. We even have some on our so called "freeways".
ReplyDeleteSounds like the little town where I grew up....but boy not like that now that I live in Orlando! Lights everywehre!
