A Day Late

Yesterday, I was so caught up in talking about my poor, pitiful, suffering finger I forgot to mention that it was WD's birthday. So today I'd like to honor his 32nd birthday by sharing a story about, well, me. And my poor, pitiful, suffering mental health.

One day last week, I had just started to prepare dinner when WD came home from work. And on his way into to bedroom he walked by the kitchen and asked, "What's for dinner?" Now, on the surface, that question sounds innocent enough but in plain view the carrots, rice and wheat rolls were all sitting out on the counter along with a package of chicken breasts by the sink.

CLEARLY, he's trying to drive me insane.

  1. Clearly.
I adore the fact that now that my kids are older...sometimes when they ask 'what's 4 dinner?" I can just reply "whatever you make yourself". Ahhhhh. There's something to be said for kids getting older. lol.
Hope your finger gets better soon! that looks VERY painful! Poor girl!

  2. Well, happy belated bday to WD. And I wonder if all husbands drink the same water. Perhaps it is just a male thing. Questions about the obvious continue to amaze me.

  3. I agree - his goal is to drive you nuts. This, I believe, is the goal of every husband.

  6. Yep, I hear ya. How about when Luke trys to tell me I should have just bought everyones Chrsitmas presents instead of making them. He thinks he is being supportive and giving me the go ahead to spend money...I think "well why the hell can't you go buy everyones gifts? Since when is it my job!?!"

  7. I thought it was just my hubby who was trying to drive me insane. It seems they don't always put a lot of thought into what they say before they actually say it. LOL!
