Overreacting. Twice.

My baby is 5. My baby is 5. My baby is 5.

I'm just going to keep saying that until I can come to terms with it. In the meantime, I need to direct my hovering mothering skills elsewhere. Enter, basil:

I started these basil seeds a couple of weeks ago in my laundry room. I've watered them faithfully, made sure they've had enough sunlight, and rejoiced when they grew from seeds to seedlings. I'm just waiting on one more set of leaves to appear and then I'll send them off into the real world with the big boys:

My sweet, little, tiny seedlings. This is gonna be harder than I thought!

  3. Angie--stick a tomato plant in a pot, you'll thank me in a few months!

Erica--Thanks! There's tomatoes, squash, eggplant, bell peppers, hot pepper, parsley, and garlic. We'll see what comes up!

  4. I'm jealous because try as I might I can not bring myself to grow anything. Oh sure I plant the stuff and somewhere between seedling and something you can eat something goes terribly wrong...idk I'm lost!

  5. You're so funny! But oddly, I sorta feel the same way. I brought my little peat pot tray IN today because it was too windy. lol. I guess mothering gets imposed on plants as well! :)

Loved the cupcake post yesterday...which I somehow missed.

  9. Look at you and your awesome gardens. I wish I had a green thumb... my flower bed out front (that came w/ the house, lol) could use some help from less challenged as myself.

  11. Hi, stopping by from SITs. Your garden looks great! I am totally jealous. I would LOVE to have a garden -- but we live in student housing, tiny apartment... major bummer. Well, maybe someday.

  12. I so wish I had the space to do a veggie garden like this, I may do container planting but last year the chipmunks ate all of my tomatoes
