And the winner is...Lance Mackey! This is his second year in a row to win. After 9 days, 11 hours, 46 minutes, and 48 seconds he crossed the finish line in Nome. Lance and eleven of his dogs--including lead dogs Handsome and Larry--took first place early yesterday morning bringing home $69,000 in prize money.
Karen Ramstead's all Siberian team is still on the trail in 46th place.
And to commemorate my 35th birthday this past Sunday, Gramma Judy gave me this lovely Iditarod travel mug. Thanks, Judy!
