Have you ever noticed how my blog posts tend to be a little on the short side? That's because I'm really not that much of a talker. My boys, on the other hand, oh my word do they like the sound of their own voices! And I don't know if it's because of hormones or the full moon or bad parenting but those voices sure are grating on my nerves this week. I'm looking forward to today, when both boys will be spending the day and night with their grandparents. And I can enjoy some much needed solitude.

Those boys are big talkers!:o)I loved the poem! Enjoy your well earned solitude!:)
ReplyDeleteI can relate to the talking with ya! Em talks non stop, we can't watch anything without having to pause it a thousand times to tell her to be quiet. Enjoy you day and night to yourself.
ReplyDeleteYou've been tagged.
Poetry Friday is back! And I love that poem.
ReplyDeletePoetry Fridays? Beautiful. Believe it or not, I'm a big talker. But when I'm on the phone, I clam right up. I don't do the phone thing. I hope you do somethin very nonproductive with your solitude.
ReplyDeleteI love the poem. And I wish I could dance in my kitchen. Guess I will have to wait until my little one goes down. Oh I forgot I will be writing blog posts. I need to get a life. LOL
ReplyDeleteFunny my daughter used to be so quiet and now she talks all the time. Most of the time I love it but every once in a while. Enjoy your evening !
ReplyDeleteOooooh. Enjoy your quiet!
ReplyDeleteMy how I covet that solitude! Have a grand time!
ReplyDeleteI, on the otherhand, never shut up!
ReplyDeletethat is a great poem! Thanks for sharing it:)
ReplyDeleteI think all of us moms are in need of some solitude time- which the dads don't understand. Whenever my husband hears of some mom who got away by herself for a weekend, he's all: "YOU wouldn't want to do that, right?" And I'm all "where's my ticket."
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my little blog. I put you on my blog roll so I can check in with you.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your free time! I am not much of a talker either, that is why I post a lot of pictures. :)
ReplyDeleteOH good another mom with just boys!! Don't you just feel soooo out numbered?? I sure do!!!!! glad to hear you used to watch days! I still do, it is rediciouse also!!! that is when I take a break from it but then I ALWAYS go back soon after!!! cute cute boys you have!! and you are just adorable also!!
ReplyDeleteI am right there with ya!! =) Peace and quiet, what on earth is that?! LOL
ReplyDeleteSometimes I like the sound of my own voice but it doesn't always translate to my hands and onto my blog. Sad really considering I can talk for hours about next to nothing but get blocked up easily when I sit down at my computer.
ReplyDeleteOh my word, I know the feeling. Just today, while I was trying to cook dinner and sort through a million things I had going on in my mind, I told my monkey to go in the sunroom (his play area), sit down, be quiet, and play for atleast 10 minutes all by himself. He kept looking in at me to see if I looked like I had given up on the solitude time!
ReplyDeleteOh, and thanks so much for helping out with the donation to Heifer International! I appreciate it.
