B-11

I took this picture last Friday because, at the time, 2.59 for a gallon of gas was cheap. Now, just 5 days later, it has dropped all the way to 2.35. I find myself only putting about 10 gallons in at a time, hoping that the next time I need gas it will have gone down even more. It's been fluctuating a lot lately and when it goes up a penny I start to sweat and my heart beats a little faster. Do I go ahead and fill up the whole tank? Do I only fill it up halfway? Do I take my changes and wait another day to see if the price goes back down?

Aside from tagging along with my grandma to the VFW for bingo, this is as close to gambling as I've ever been.

  3. LOL - That is SO true!!!

My husband and I do the exact same thing! It's so funny to hear him after he's filled up at one price and it goes down again the next day. =)

  4. I am doing the same thing, I can't bring myself to fill up the car because I just know it's going to keep going down, or I am hoping and praying it still goes down. Who would have thought we would get excited over $2.39 cents a gallon.

  5. It's $2.55 here! I love it! I can actually go farther out into Jacksonvile b/c I can afford to drive around! I remember when gas was under a buck! Ahhh, memories. LOL!

  6. I am terrible with gas prices. I never look. I figure that I have to get to work and I need gas to get to work, so I just buy gas without giving it a second thought. Maybe I should. I kind of like your thinking of it in a gambler's perspective. :)

  9. Great price! Fill up the tank. And then refill when you get to half a tank. You save money that way.

  10. I'm in total agreement with you here! I've been doing that for the last week or two also!! It took me a couple of days to figure it out that it was dropping (sometimes up to 8 cents) every day! Now that I've caught on...I'm a freak about it! Everyday I am almost excited to head into town to see "where the numbers are now"!

    It's crazy!
