Is it cheating if I re-post a blog entry that I put up on Angie's site yesterday? I hope not because I'm drawing a blog blank right now. It's either that or put up some more text messages between me and WD:
What do you want for dinner?
I don't know, what do you want?
I don't know, what do YOU want?
Whatever.
So...what do you want for dinner?
Uh, yeah, I'm gonna vote for the re-post. So here it is, some of my favorite baby items that should be a must have for any new mom.
1. Boppy. I didn't have one of these with Big pup but I wish I had. It made nursing Little pup so much easier.
2. Sleep-n-Plays. There's nothing cuter than a baby in footie pajamas. My boys lived in these when they were babies.
3. Baby monitor. My bedroom is on the opposite end of the house from the other bedrooms, so a baby monitor is a must. I've been using the same Safety 1st (audio only) monitor for 6 years. I love it.
4. Baby swing. If your baby likes to swing then you've got it made. Little pup hated it but Big pup would fall asleep in it everytime.
5. Baby Einstein videos. I know, I know. TV is not good for babies. But sometimes mommy needs a little bathroom break and these videos can help give you the time you need to...um...take care of business.
So those are a few of my baby 'must haves.' What about you? What are some of your favorite baby things?

I really liked having a wipe warmer, because I truly hated putting a cold wipe on my baby's bum. As they get older, it doesn't bother me as much, but it just seemed cruel to shock my poor baby that way. :-)
ReplyDeleteI found the Baby Bjorn carrier to be wonderful! My first baby would sleep in it while I did housework, and the other two had colic. Sometimes it was the only thing that calmed them down!
ReplyDeleteI had to have my boppy pillow too! But something that I could not live without was Em's baby bouncer.
ReplyDeleteI am laughing about the convo and decision to repost. My favorite thing was the arm's reach co-sleeper.
ReplyDeleteDiaper Genie and crib vibrator.
ReplyDeleteThis is like Blog-block time of year or something. I'm running on fumes.
The bumbo seat. I kept it in the bathroom and would park her in it so I could go. Hee hee...
ReplyDeleteDawn--Oh I loved the wipe warmer! Little pup broke it when he started crawling and pulling on electrical cords:(
ReplyDeleteElizabeth--I ended up getting a carrier with Little pup because he had to be carried ALL THE TIME!
LeAnn--Yay another Boppy fan!
Renee--Isn't that the saddest text message you've ever seen:)
Sue--Diaper Genie? Awesome. Blog block? Not awesome.
Koalabrains--What a good idea! That's exactly how they should market it!
You know, it seems like lots of people are having "blogger's block" lately. Must be the position of the moon...
ReplyDeleteJennifer--I think so! Hopefully next week will be better!
ReplyDeletehahaha Koala brains - our bumbo is parked in the bathroom too, it's a SAHM's best friend I say when we have nobody to watch the punks so we can "go".
ReplyDeleteI would say definitely the Primo bath I got on amazon - no other baby bath compares to it in size, it's definitely a keeper
You've been tagged! :)
ReplyDeleteJojo--I think I need to have another baby so I can get a bumbo:)
ReplyDeleteStephanie--Thanks for the tag!
