Happy first day of school! Fortunately, Big pup didn't wake up at 5 a.m. like he did for his first day of Kindergarten last year. I've got to go wake him up in few minutes and I'm hoping everything will run smoothly this morning.
As usual, if Nascar isn't your thing, head on over to Angie's pretty purse. I believe she's talking about rainboots today.
Yesterdays race was up in Kristen's neck of the woods. Brooklyn, Michigan. Elliott Sadler finished 9th there back in June and guess what? He finished 9th again! But he still remained 20th in points standings. I was hoping he would move up a little but that didn't happen. Not that it matters this late in the game. Only 3 more races until the Chase for the Cup begins. I haven't decided who I'm going to root for yet. I'm thinking Kevin Harvick. Or maybe Jeff Burton.
Carl Edwards gets the win, Marcos Ambrose gets the red lantern, and we're in Bristol Saturday night.

It was a good race for Elliot Sadler! I was sorry that Marcus Ambrose's engine blew up, or something! He could really be a good driver some day! Mark and Michelle are going to Bristol this week. Robert and I are having McKenzie for 5 days.
ReplyDeleteJudy--Poor Ambrose. 42nd! I bet the boys would like to play with McKenzie again!
ReplyDeleteI have never been into Nascar but my cousin loved it. He went to Daytona for his birthday with his wife and they had a ball. Maybe I will check it out sometime but I don't get the fascination with watching people drive around in a oval.
ReplyDeleteI have tried to pay attention the last several weeks and even try to watch some of it, but yesterday I didn't get a chance to watch it too much to do. Happy 1st day to ya!
ReplyDeletei've never really watched a NASCAR race but i like watching NHRA!!!
ReplyDeletehope he had a good first day at school!
Renee--I didn't get into it until about 4 years ago when Big pup was 2. He loved cars so we turned the TV to a nascar race one Sunday and although he enjoyed it, I was hooked!
ReplyDeleteLeAnn--Yesterday was kind of busy around here too and I only caught the last half:)
Mamabearbugga--This is awful but I had to ask hubby what NHRA is! Thankfully, Big pup had a wonderful day at school!
I wish I could get into the NASCAR thing, I really have tried! I think it would be fun to actually go and see it live though!
ReplyDeleteJenn--It's so much fun live! Tailgating, souvenirs, the sound of the engines...I love it!
ReplyDeleteThere was only one time I saw a Nascar event..Indy 400 or something. Sorry, I don't know enough about this to comment. But at least I know who Danica is, because she's from around our area.
ReplyDeleteI so thought of you when were stuck in traffic coming home. My Dad and brother went to the race and they got Will a car!
ReplyDeleteJojo--Ah yes, Danica Patrick, she drives the Indy cars. She's kind of building a bad reputation these days:)
ReplyDeleteKristen--I bet Will loved his new car! And I don't envy you getting stuck in that traffic!
