Little Brothers

Little pup occasionally likes to make noises as he rides in his carseat. He'll hum, or make popping noises, or rhyme words, or count. Big pup finds this particular trait extremely irritating. And he doesn't hesitate in letting his little brother know just how much this grates on his nerves. Which only makes Little pup do it more. And louder.

Here's a cute poem by children's author Mary Ann Hoberman called Brother. I think Big pup can relate!

  2. You find the cutest poems. I can't relate to boys or brothers because well being that I only had girls and I am an only child I don't know how they are. But I do know that the girls annoy one another so does that count?

  3. I love your poems but how true. My little brother used to annoy me to no end. It was only when I got older that I appreciated him for what a wonderful person he is.

  4. Funny poem ~ I have two older brothers, and yes they do BOTHER ME...even to this day, like Kristen said up there, it just must be a sibling thing.

  5. This poem is cute and although I don't have siblings I had a younger cousin and he always tried to irritate me. I guess it goes along with the territory.

Oh, and Kathy Gifford is lame, I saw her interview with Dooce, why did NBC hire her? She is the most irritating person on the planet!

  6. Kristen--I'd have to agree that it's a sibling thing, too. My older brother can still be annoying!

    LeAnn--I think that counts!

Debateur--This gives me hope for my 2 boys!

JoJo--I don't know if I could handle having 2 older bothers, I mean brothers!

Renee--I can only hope that NBC got a lot of angry emails about that interview! And I bet they did!

  8. hey I thought about you yesterday, we drove by the MIS in Brooklyn and it made me realize the race is today, which means a lot of traffic for us. My parents have a lake house about 20 mins from the track. I bet you watched the race today!

Brittany--I have to say that 10 times to myself on bath nights. Ugh. They never want to get out!

  10. That is a cute poem! I only have one sister. I really wish that I had more. I know my kids right now being 16, 12, and almost 9 wish that they didn't have any siblings right now though!

  12. Jenn--And then some days they act they're so in love with each other, right? Those are the good days!

Rosemary--Good idea! I need to get Big pup to practice his reading and this would be perfect!
